Scott Pilgrim vs. the World Movie Summary
In Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Scott Pilgrim is a 22-year old bass guitarist for the band, Sex Bob-omb who lives with his gay roommate in a studio apartment in Toronto, Canada. Although Scott is currently dating the 17-year old high school student, Knives Chau, he sees the girl who is literally the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers, in a library one day, and thus begins his obsession to meet her.
At a party one night, Scott unsuccessfully tries to talk to Ramona, but his pickup lines bomb, and she leaves the party. Scott then finds out that Ramona works for amazon.ca as a delivery girl, so he orders something online in hopes she will deliver the package, and he can ask Ramona out on a date…both of which happen.
Both Ramona and Knives attend Scott’s battle of the bands gig, and as they play, Knives passes out from excitement, and Ramona looks on in horror as one of her ex boyfriends attacks Scott. Scott defeats the ex, and his band win the gig by default as their competing band has been destroyed in the melee.
Scott learns that in order to keep dating Ramona, he must defeat her remaining 6 evil exes…and probably dumb Knives. One by one the exes appear and attack Scott. Eventually he defeats them all, but not before learning some self respect, and how to be a good friend and boyfriend.
Yes, it’s a happy ending, but how long will it be before he too becomes an Evil X…until the sequel?
